A review by Lucas Testro of The Radioactive Lounge Podcast:

“Had I read this before we picked our top books for the year, it would have come very close I can assure you.

It’s this enchanting compilation of short snapshots of Sarah’s life and the world around her, in all its contradictions. Celebrating the small moments – and questioning - what even is a small moment or a large moment in life? While also considering deeper questions about how we live. Sometimes it’s little comic strips, and sometimes it’s a strait sketch of something she’s seen as she’s walked about the city. Like something you’d see in a visual diary.

It’s beautifully drawn and wonderfully coloured, with this lovely gentleness. It’s also curated super well, and starts to create this flow between common subjects and visual motifs or themes that you’re getting as you move from story to story. Which really binds all these different little elements together, to make it feel like a conversation she’s having with you, or something she’s sharing with you. It’s whimsical and deep, it’s very vulnerable and human. It made me laugh but it also made me reconsider my art and my life.

It’s just wonderful. Super thoughtful, super emotional and gentle at the same time. I thought it was a complete triumph.”
